Yesterday in the Park, EJ stood by herself for more than ten seconds. Today, she stood nearly long enough for me to get my camera out of my bag, turn it on and take a picutre. Nearly. So we continue to live with this little girl who is more an d more amazing. Tonight she climbed the stairs in the Film Acadmey nearly twenty times! Ok maybe even more times than that, she can climb, fast! I have seen her do the same thing on a sliding board.
Her new shoes are just fantastic and make her look so grown up. There was a little baby at church tonight with her barefeet and EJ looked so much bigger than her and so much more grown up! We have an almost little girl. She’s not quite a toddler but she’s not quite a baby! Gosh! It’s so hard to believe that she is over one year old!

On Thursday, I had the stars and the planets all iin a line. I should have known when I nearly touched my toes in yoga class that things would be so sweet. Then in the afternoon EJ and I went to the grocery store and got the necessary things we needed for the house and felt good about ourselves. We also got the mail on the way back up and my student aid showed up – I wasn’t even really looking for it. So in celebration I went to the internet and looked at craigslist.org and found a guy selling an old powerbook for less than $100 because the screen was cracked!
WOW! I needed it for spare parts so I snatched up that bargin.
Today, I installed the hard drive and memory into my broken down TiPowerbook, and currently I am in the process of creating a Dual-Boot computer so I can work in OS X or Linux. Dude! So awesome!

I have been able to adjust my schedule so that I go to Yoga class at least three times a week at the gym. It is really starting to pay off, I am able to do the poses better and deeper, I am even getting closer to being able to touch my toes with my knees straight.
I also am riding the bike around Brooklyn ( not really taking it into Manhattan until we get the helmet for el Squeako!) Since this is a fixed gear bike and I have nearly twenty five pounds of additional weight on the back (baby seat and baby) my legs are getting quite the workout. I make sure to go slow downhill to
- Stay in control
- work harder
- feel really cool!
I know that I will try to continue to maintain this new schedule. I am going to remove this from my list of 43things but will continue to blog about what happens in my life!

I keep wondering, now that I have a new fixed gear bike that I use to get around Brooklyn, and I have established a routine of going to the gym three times a week. Do I have to keep posting entries about “exercising regularly?â€
I know that back pedalling down hills with a growing child on the back is going to work wonders for my thighs. I know that going to yoga class will have great effect on my flexibility and core strength. Plus it is an hour and a half three times a week where I get to drop the Lil Bug off with someone else!
So Do I need to tell you about everytime I go and exercise?

So, today I turn on my laptop and nothing happens. Quickly, I begin to worry that the OS is fried, I had just received an update from Apple last night. So I go through a quick trouble shooting process. I try booting from a Live CD, I try booting from two different Install CDs. All of which get right up to the point where I have to pick which Hard Drive I am going to use and I get stuck. Suddenly, it all makes sense to me. Hard Drive Failure.
Fortunately, I have everyhting backed up and there are enough compuetrs around here for me to continue working without missing a beat. It will be nice to get the laptop back, and go out for coffee and emails, again. Especially, since I just ordered a new battery for it.
So it looks like I have a replace the hard drive project in my near future. Oh goodie!!

Riding the bike over to the gym today was really very nice. There was a little bit of rain left over from the weekend, but EJ and I were wearing raincoats. Class was tough, just like a Monday! I was hoping for the end to hurry up and get here, but now that it’s over, I miss it already.
We rode back through the park and enjoyed the sun as it started to come out from behind the clouds.
