a tasty quote from the end of the article “As a daily user of Mac OS X, Ubuntu and Vista, I’m keenly aware of what works and what doesn’t. Mac and Linux work.
The time is up. Microsoft must abandon Vista and move on. It’s the company’s only chance at red

I don’t really care how you feel about Abortion or its alternatives- there is nothing that allows anyone, corporation or not the right to deny others their right to free speech. This move will push the industry closer to being a commodity rather than an o

Over the course of the night, I installed edubuntu on one of the machines that I have lying about here. Edubuntu is a Linux based computer Operating system which comes with a number of educational based applications. Currently, our little girl is using a suite of programs called gcompris. She likes the interacts and the games, but is really only capable of learning how to position the mouse cursor- there is a fun game which has white bricks over a picture and when the mouse pointer is on top of the brick it disappears. Each time she clears the board there is a big smiley face and some words of encouragement, which she generally tries to repeat.
So fun hearing her try to say stuff like “Awesome” and “Way to Go!” As she is only two and a half this will be a great way for her to grow and develop and learn about computers, plus I am thrilled that she is already a Linux User! Free Software! “Way to Go!”

Not only has modern medicine cleared out the lungs of our favorite two and a half year old, but she is now going to the potty to wee wee on her own. This is really amazing! It seems to work best if we are at home, just letting her free play and she needs to go, she walks in the bathroom without saying anything and just sits down and goes. Then she will pick up the pot from her seat and dump it in the toilet, put the pot away and flush.
This is notto say that she is without accidents or that she does this everytime she has to go potty (still working on the doodies) but it’s really quite amazing to have happen.

I keep a Moleskine sketchbook in my back pocket with a pen. Ej has one that is very similiar that she draws in as well, makes a good activity for the two of us before she falls asleep. So today, while we were riding the bike, EJ put the cap to my pen in my back pocket and I thought o”Oh My! I must have lost the book and rest of the pen.” Because sometimes it falls out of my jeans pockets. So I kept riding. Then I noticed our shadow and realized that EJ was very quiet in the back. Turns out, she had made the executive decision that it was high time that she draws on top of Daddy’s sketches.

Amazing stuff the pharma industry- EJ’s pneumonia practically was wiped out over night. She still has a little wet sound in her cough but she is feeling so much better that she has to go to daycare and will not be satisfied with being forced to hang out with her old man all day long.
This is very helpful for both parties involved as she enjoys her friends and the life downstairs and is better able to enjoy the time she does spend with her family. Yup, she’s little Miss Independent, I think I caught her looking at real estate ads the other day, looking for a studio apartment in the village!
