Stay at Home all day, with the Blues…
Eliza-Jane _loves_ to watch [[Blue's Clues]] on DVD. She will point at the large monitor or the bookcase where we keep it and grunt/whine/moan, which roughly translated means, “Would we have the time to engage in some delightful yet educational entertainment for the next two hours?”
The problem is we own two DVDs, one which has four episodes and the other has a feature film on it. We have already played it so much that I wake up singing the songs, I hear some of the character’s voice’s in the middle of our pastor’s sermons, and I walk down the street and interpret the world through the prism of looking for Blue’s Clues. SO we^C^C, I had to do something.
I called my friend who has two brothers who live in the Netherlands and inquired to see what kids there watch and ended up with a Blue’s Clues DVD from the Netherlands. Naturally, there is a little DVD Region avoidance that has to be done, but that’s no trouble really. Now, I can let her get her Blue’s Clues and not have the songs stuck in my head, or at least if I do, maybe I’ll learn something as well.
The DVD also has French and German versions on it, EJ doesn’t enjoy the German one at all, finds it dark and scary.
Tonight, she colored all over her face and hands with a blue magic marker, it turned the bath water blue, good thing I remembered tonight that tomorrow there will be no water in the building!
